That place was amazing! The other one, kind of near Lisenby, was my favorite though. Probably because I lived in that area and frequented it often in my teens. I've been gone for five years now, I have no idea what's still around. I think all of these places have closed :-( Glad it brought back memories for you! Before this my parents would either just shop at Blockbuster or the other location, Video 99, which I of course preferred. I have more early memories from Video 99, but that one closed 3 or 4 tears ago and I cleaned them out of VHS! I plan on getting most of the good stuff slowly from Video 98 before we move.Scumbalinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08153992944006620974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-942353096858461936.post-35050583048899945292010-07-08T08:02:00.815-07:002010-07-08T08:02:00.815-07:00Since I grew up in Springfield this was my default...Since I grew up in Springfield this was my default video rental spot growing up. From a very young age I always went back to that back wall of horror movies. I can remember everything about that place, even the smell.

When I moved up here there were 2 mom and pops that had great selections both of which have gone out of business. Alternative Video which was right down the road from me catered to the LGTB community but had a great "cult" section. Then there was Alice In Video Land, the owner was quite the horror nerd, Shane and I have bumped into him a few times at horror conventions. Of course he had a huge horror and genre related sections.frankensteinsbride1313https://www.blogger.com/profile/04174580327287862512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-942353096858461936.post-51564036614555074892010-07-07T22:15:39.272-07:002010-07-07T22:15:39.272-07:00dude, you should see the cover!
